Interview with the "The Gaffer" , Paul Cox by Andy Cope By Eastwood Town I met Coxy today to get an update after he returned from his 2 week break in Cyprus and took the opportunity to ask him a few questions on behalf of our supporters; AC: Since your return from holiday, you are now a full time football manager with a 4 year contract, how did this come about and does it feel different? PC: I don't feel any different in terms of my commitment to the club, but I do know that I will be able to do a higher quality job now and have more time to support the players and increase the professionalism of the club. I had to go full time as Paddy was sick of me not answering his phone calls when I was teaching! AC: Where are you actually based from then? PC: I go to the club every day and have a desk at the Chairman's head office which is only 3 miles away. |

Chairman's Update "are the bookmakers' drunk?" 8th July By Eastwood Town When Paddy assured me that it was within FA rules to back your own team, I was looking forward to seeing the bookmakers' odds for this season and maybe having a little each way punt on us. I honestly thought we would be about 16-1 as opposed to 40-1 last season, so I was little disappointed when I looked on the Bet 365 web site today and saw that they have made us joint 2nd favourites with Bradford Park Avenue at 13/2. |
