Due to the temporary closure of the Wentworth Hexham were grateful that Haydon Bridge allowed them to use their facilities to take on Forest Hall in the Northern Alliance. Even after the heavy rain midweek the pitch was in excellent condition for the fixture.

The stars of the Premier League may have had another week off but in the Re/Max Northern Alliance no such luck, it was back to League duty. Hexham’s opening fixture was a trip to Willington Quay a team they did the double over last year, but as you find at this level a lot can change over the summer break.
