Caretaker manager Sam Marshall made just one change from last week with top scorer Jonny Shurben coming in for David Robson and Andrew Robinson reverting to a more familiar role at left back. After a bye in the 1st round, this was the D&P's first cup game of the season and hopes were high for win that could spark a cup run.

The D&P found themselves down to the bare bones going into this crucial league encounter, with only 10 fit outfield players making the short trip across town to Walker. Enforced changes saw Vinny Turner, Michael Redshaw & Goalkeeper Scott Hope return to the side.

For the first time this season the D&P were able to call upon an almost fully fit squad, which gave stand in gaffer Stu a selection headache. In came top scorer Jonny Shurben up front and Simon Masters replaced the crocked Sam Marshall as the D&P looked to build on last weeks hard fought win.

Without several first team regulars, and two new faces making their debuts hopes were not high for a much needed D&P victory. In wet conditions the D&P gave new signings Michael Redshaw and Paulie debuts and they settled in with their new teammates well as the match turned into a very even affair.
