A Very Brief Brandon History

Brandon United were originally formed as a Sunday morning side called Rostrons, the name of the waste paper company where most of the founders worked. They began by playing in the Durham & District Sunday League in 1968/69, Joining the Third Division and gradually played their way up to the First Division. Click here to read more

'Keeper Jinx Strikes Again
August 2008

The club has about six goal keepers signed on its books for the season to accommodate both first team and reserve teams, but it seems that lady luck is doing her best to prune the squad for us. Following the North Shields game last wednesday night first team 'keeper Ian Myers hurt his left arm in a collision.

Heartbreak in The Cup
August 2008

Following recent good performances and a new vibe running through the club, spirits were high for this Extra Preliminary Cup tie against Billingham Town. BJ and Adam were able to call on an almost full strength squad, with the exception of 'keeper Ian Myers who had broken his arm against North Shields.

New Season Starts With Away Draw

The 2008.09 season gets under way with a hard fought draw away to Birtley Town.

Crook Town game brought forward.
March 2008

The second division game against Crook Town has been brought forward to Good Friday. Crook Town kindly agreed to the switch of dates and times and so now the fixture is FRIDAY 21st March 2008 with a 7:30pm kick off.

Ryton game Abandoned
February 2008

Todays game against Ryton was abandoned after about 15 minutes following an injury to Chris English. The game was already affected by the very strong winds and the ball was swerving all over the place with thirty / forty yards shots common place in the first couple of minutes or so.
