The Steamboat went into the game looking to beat a team they had previously beaten in cup competition with a victory needed to lift them out of the bottom reaches of the table.
The game kicked off in blustery conditions & the visitors were the quickest to get to grips with the play.

The Steamboat lined up in their sole remaining cup competition against high flying Division 1 side The Eagle Blyth hoping to keep up their mini unbeaten run. Fit again Purdie replaced Tarn in defence & there was a recall for Robinson who was missing the previous week.

Cooly set to return

The Steamboat have been boosted by the news that midfield man Mark Coultate could be back in training within the next fortnight. Cooly has been missing since the opening weeks of the campign with an ankle injury that looked as though it could rule him out for months but he is looking to begin jogging & light contact work soon.
