North Shields Billy Mill took the local bragging rights in the Cramlington Sunday League Premier Division derby as they beat North Shields Formica 3-2. Dudley & Weetslade were also 3-2 winners at Burradon FC while Seghill won 2-1 at Seatonburn Moorhouse.

The Coachman turned on the sexy football to hammer Forest Hall in the Tyneside Sunday League and Wallsend went one better as they netted seven at Queen’s Head, who hit back four times in an end-to-end encounter. Chapel Park drew 2-2 with High Howden and their were 3-2 wins for Sunniside, High Heaton and Whickham Jacks over Bay Horse, Bute Arms and Bridle Path.

Graeme Armstrong netted twice for Gateshead in their Conference North fixture against Alfreton, put back 24 hours to accommodate athletics at the International Stadium, with Michael Rae adding the other in a comfortable 3-0 win.

Bute Arms were 5-1 victors at Bay Horse in the Tyneside Sunday League Division One while Sunniside beat Coachman 5-2 and Wallsend Labour won 2-0 at Bridle Path.

The region’s clubs were in FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round action and Shildon hit-man Warren Byrne was all smiles as he netted a hit-trick in a 3-0 win over Leeds Carnegie.
Dean Douglas and Michael Reid were left to squabble over the matchball at Penrith as they both grabbed trebles in a 7-4 win over Darwen while Dunston Fed’s Andrew Bulford was another hat-trick hero in a 4-0 victory over Tadcaster.
